Maybe the club feels the structure of the PFL right now doesn’t really fit what they’re building

We’ve been following Manila Montet closely and we keep seeing people asking why the club didn’t join the PFL this season, or even Ang Liga. To be honest, none of us fans know the full story, but here’s my guess:
Maybe the club feels the structure of the PFL right now doesn’t really fit what they’re building. It’s no secret that crowds are very small, some matches in Rizal Stadiums have literally 5 people watching, and maybe Montet prefers to put its energy into building its own fan culture first, through the Challenge Series and community projects and that is perfectly ok to us even though we would want them to see them in pfl.
Another thought: perhaps they want independence. By creating their own events and tournaments, they can experiment with formats, involve UAAP teams, and give a chance to hundreds of players who normally don’t get seen. That’s very “Montet” style pretty different from everyone else.
At the end of the day, whatever the reason, the club is not invisible. People talk about Manila Montet all the time, fans and haters alike. And that tells me they’re on the right path to become the biggest club here.
